Local artist Dirk Martin will guide you through the principles of landscape oil painting!

Designed for the novice, in this class you will create a landscape painting from start to finish using impressionist techniques. Martin's approach also includes the following:  

Ambient and New Age Music - Genres of music that emphasize tone and atmosphere evoking a sense of calm or contemplation intended to create artistic inspiration, relaxation and optimism.

Epicureanism - An ancient school of philosophy for living a mindful, uncomplicated life that stresses the lifelong search for lasting pleasure and minimizing pain.

Each student will work with a 20 x 30" canvas and oil paints. 
All supplies provided!  Cotton canvas, oil paints, brushes, and palette knife.
No prior painting experience required.
Each participant will leave with a painting and the knowledge of basic impressionistic painting principles to continue creating at home!
